SPY SHOTS: 2011/2012 Hyundai i40 CW (AKA: Hyundai Sonata Wagon)

Well well well - after some speculation regarding this very possibility, Hyundai has been caught red-handed parading around a nice, disguised wagon version of the new Hyundai Sonata! There's a catch, though - this was caught in France by a French magazine, and will be called the Hyundai i40 CW when it is released there, and who knows if it will come out in America or not - but considering the seeming growing desire for wagons over here, the possibility of a Hyundai Sonata Wagon (or Touring?) really is not that far-fetched.





The Wagon should help along the sales of the i40 line in France, which has seen very lackluster sales compared to the competition (even the Renault Vel Satis, which has been discontinued, has outsold it in the last six months). The Sonata line here obviously needs no help, so the wagon won't necessarily make or break the line.

Expect the grille to lose come chrome as well, compared to the sedan.

According to the source, this should debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2011, with the market release following "a few weeks later".
