The Saab 9-2 (or 92) and 9-3 are coming soon, with real pretty new designs by Jason Castriota and new platforms that are non-GM related, and these renderings could be a nice little preview of what the real thing might look like. The first two pictures of the small Saab hatchback would be the Saab 92 or 9-2 (or even Saab 9-1), which, according to sources, Saab will outsource to BMW, to build off of the MINI platform, using MINI hardware, but built as a Saab. The new 9-3 should be built off of the new Spyker-designed Phoenix platform.
Expect Saab to also receive a new 9-4X Crossover, which should battle the MINI Countryman, as the 9-2 battles the MINI Cooper and the Audi A1, and erases memories of the Saab 9-2X Saabaru from the GM ownership days. Expect the 9-4X in April 2011.
