If the new BMW 3-series Gran Turismo tester shown in this picture is any indication, BMW has certainly learned their lesson about messing with the vehicle proportions of good taste, and those lessons are carrying over to the new BMW 3-series Gran Turismo. Unlike the new 5GT, it appears that the 3GT won't be growing much taller compared to the standard 3-series (if any taller at all), and the new shape fits the stretched-out platform that it's based on (that being the Chinese BMW 3-series long-wheelbase platform).
Rumors are also flying around that this one could be renamed the BMW 4-series, but it's doubtful that this will; rather, the Gran Coupe that BMW is working on based off of the 3-series platform should be renamed the 4-series.
Expect the 4-series in the USA around the same time as, if not a little bit later than, the next BMW 3-series coupe.
