VIDEO (with sound): Audi Q3 RS

The sound is the most important part of this video. A Swedish car magazine test drove the Audi Q3 RS test mule, and it's official: the 300 horsepower turbocharged 5-cylinder hot hatch on HGH is HOT. There's just something about wide-open 5-cylinder engines with freeflowing exhausts - and the fact that they sound like Lamborghini Gallardos. Follow the jump to listen to the steroid-addled 5-banger in the Q3 make some of the nicest noises I've heard - but skip until the 1:02 part of the video for the sounds.

SPY SHOTS: 2013 Land Rover Range Rover

With all of the talk and hype over the 2012 Range Rover Evoque lately, one breed seems to have been forgotten - the original Range Rover, but Land Rover's new parents have made sure that this one isn't going to be forgotten. It looks boxier, almost similar to the previous-generation Land Rover in that regard. The big news here is that the platform under the brand new Range Rover will be borrowed from the Jaguar XJ, of all things, meaning this certainly isn't going to be the all-terrain, land-smashing off roader that it never was used to be, although let's be real; nobody off roads these in the first place.

NAKED AND UNASHAMED: 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 Amg Black Series

Thanks to speedfans.fr, the all new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series has (ironically) been leaked in a bright racing red color. Stuttgart's crazy Honda Accord coupe on steroids BMW M3 fighter will come packing the muscle-car approach to BMW M3 fighting - a big 6.3 liter V8 producing over 500 horsepower.

SPY SHOTS: 2013 BMW 3-series 335i (almost uncovered)

F30 335i spotted on the Nurburgring

The newest spy shots of the F30 BMW 335i are out, and here's what you can glean from the newly-revealed details:

A: This car has big windows. Thankfully, unlike the current design trend of gun-slit windows with poor visibility, BMW sticks by its big windows, and I can already tell that visibility will be excellent.
B: It will have an especially long hood, slightly forward-leaning design, and looks more masculine than the outgoing E90.
C: It looks plenty different enough from the new 5-series to dispel the "1 sausage, 3 lengths" idea. If you can't tell the difference between a 7 and a 5 on the road, or between a 3 and a 5 in pictures, you need your eyes checked.

More and more pics after the jump.

2013 BMW 1-series Sedan

Courtesy of Theophilus Chin. I wouldn't think it would be so out of the question for BMW to eventually build a 1-series sedan. Will it look like this? I sure hope so - this rendering has classic BMW proportions and the front end fits much better on this car than on the hatchback, in my opinion. Audi is coming out with the A3 sedan and Mercedes-Benz is readying the CLC/ALS/whatever they decide to call the A-class-based sedan, so BMW would be well-advised to begin readying a 1er sedan. If they did, it certainly would be on my wish list.

Best Rendering Yet: 2012 BMW 3-series

This illustration, which is based on one of the best spy-shots of the new BMW 3-series yet, is the best look so far at the final design of the upcoming BMW 3-series. The design is absolutely about evolution, rather than revolution, as BMW has obviously taken a Porsche 911 philosophy to redesigning their most important vehicle. Judging by this illustration, I certainly can't fault them for it - not only does it not possess a Pokemon-face like the BMW 1-series, it also keeps the nearly-perfect proportions of its 3-series forebearers, as well as takes a more masculine design tack than the current slightly-girly BMW 3er.

Expect the same engines as are in the 2012 BMW 5-series when this new 3er finally debuts - Expect the 328i to be powered by the 2012 528i's new TwinPower Turbo 2.0 good for 240 horsepower, as well as the TwinPower Turbo 3.0 in the new 335i. Nobody said this car was going to lack for power OR fuel economy. Now if they can fix the HPFP issues of the previous gen, they'll be set.
